It builds upon the same robust concept as Hestra's Heli Ski model, but is designed to be worn under the jacket sleave with a comfortable neoprene collar that encircles the wrist. Fingers and palm are made ofimpregnated goat leather with outseams that provide comfort and a sensitive grip, while the backhand is made with flexible and weather resistant softshell fabric. A fleece liner with synthetic insulation keeps fingers warm even in low temperatures, and can easily be removed to wash or dry. You can also replace the insulation with a thinner liner to adjust the warmth if you are hiking and sweating more, for example. A wrist strap reduces the chance of dropping the glove if you take it off to adjust your equipment. A carabiner is also included along with an eyelet and hanging loop, providing several attachment options. The mitten is sewn in sturdy, weather-resistant stretch fabric and goatskin and the inside of the removable merino wool liner is well insulated in a terry knit. The liner is easy to wash and dry and can also be replaced with a thinner liner at higher activity levels. The long cuff comes with a snowlock that fits snugly round the jacket sleeve. A carabiner and eyelet mean you can secure the glove to belt loops or a rucksack. There is also a hanging loop for hanging it upside down, practical for avoiding rain and snow entering your mitten. It has the same hardwearing outer as Hestra's other Army Leather models but extra strong high-function G-Loft insolation. Perfect in cold winter climates and for lower levels of activity, e.g. dog sledding, or snowmobile riding over long distances. The liner is removable and easy to dry or wash. Or replace with a thinner lining if the temperature or activity levels rise. The microfleece liner is comfortable against the skin, and the synthetic insulation adds warmth and wicks away moisture. The model is designed to perform reliably with a high cuff that shuts out snow and cold. The snowlock is easily adjusted with one hand, as is the wrist width.
