When it's time to dance with the devil and shred some big, high speed lines, the Never Summer Heritage Snowboard has the burly-ness needed. The Iron Maiden inspired topsheet lets you know what the board is about: full-on riding, with no fear of the dark. The NS SuperLight Wood Core keeps the ride light while carbonium laminates add a healthy amount of pop. Never Summer knows you'll be riding at high speed so they kept things quiet with their proprietary damping materials. When the going gets gnarly and you find yourself headed straight for the danger zone, fly where eagles dare on the Never Summer Heritage Snowboard.
Product Details
Rocker Type
Original Rocker Camber Profile – Never Summer's original Rocker Camber Profile is the best of both worlds. Rocker underfoot for flotation, mobility, and a forgiving feel, plus camber extending from the outside of the mounting area to the transition area for superior edge hold and explosive pop. Transition area at the end of the camber extends to the effective edge, keeping the board from pushing against the snow for effortless glide while making it less likely to catch an edge. Bottom line: benefits of rocker with the spring, stability, and edge hold of camber.
Flex
Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Slightly stiffer flex pattern for freeride stability. Responsive and stable without being iron-hard and dead underfoot.
Shape
Vario Power Grip Sidecut – This sidecut profile utilizes multiple radiuses to create extra contact points that enhance edge hold. Flat section in the rocker area allows the board to track straight when unweighted and provides a broad contact point when weighted. Shallow radius sidecut is found next to this section, providing the second and third contact points. Deep radius sidecut at the ends for quick turn initiation and make up the final contact points.
Core
NS SuperLight Wood Core – Taking the Never Summer Flight Core to new heights, this core blends extremely light wood with durable hardwood for an unmatched strength to weight ratio.
P-Tex Tip and Tail Protection
Laminates
STS Pretensioned Fiberglass – World's best snowboard fiberglass. Pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0˚ and 90˚ glass fibers the length of the effective edge. Delivers a stronger bond between individual glass laminates, giving Never Summer boards unmatched strength, edge hold, and performance.
Bi-Lite Fiberglass – Ultra-light glass fiber matrix that combines many characteristics of STS fiberglass. Delivers incredible freestyle performance without sacrificing durability.
Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers – Elastomeric Rubber Stabilizers directly below the mounting area provide optimum vibraiton absorption and increase high speed stability while reducing foot fatigue.
RDS 1 Damping System – The laminated damping layers of the RDS 1 are more extensive the full length of the effective edge, less extensive in the tip and tail. This combines high speed stability with reduced tip and tail swing weight.
Carbonium Laminate Technology – More carbon equals more power and performance. The new Carbonium Laminate Technology combines an advanced top and base carbon matrix to maximize torsional response and strength where it’s needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful design that will keep the Carbonium Series boards going strong for years.
Sidewalls
Sintered P-Tex Sidewall – Incredibly durable sidewalls that maintain their integrity even at super cold temperatures.
Base
Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base – Never Summer exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for the Carbonium Series. Just the right amount of graphite has been added, making this the fastest Never Summer base. EVER.
Die-Cut Base – Base color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.
Edges
Full Wrap Metal Edge – High quality steel protects the entire perimeter of the board in crucial areas of the tip and tail against impact.
Topsheet
Carbonium Topsheet – Incredibly durable, scratch and chip resistant material with a high-tech fiber-like texture. Provides more grip than a gloss topsheet, working as a built-in stomp pad.
Specs
- Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride, Powder
Terrain
All-Mountain All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow. - Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Ability Level
Advanced-Expert Whether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you'll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering. - Rocker Type: Camber/Rocker/Camber
Rocker Type
Camber/Rocker/Camber Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail. - Shape: True Twin
