Alex Lopez mastered the art of speed, style and flow in the powder fields of Mt Bachelor. He studied the art of shaping under the wing of his father and some of the best board builders of our time. Alex has dedicated the last decade of his life to the shaping room, refining his skills and perfecting his surf craft one board at a time with his test pilot partner Leah Dawson and a crew of talented free-surfers.

7’0” the middle size of our “mid sized“ Pickup Stick Series shapes that perfectly fills the gap between a shortboard and a longboard. A narrower round pin tail, smooth flowing shape and rocker lines with plenty of volume make this an easy turning, wave catching, speedster with extra control in all conditions. Birthed from the brains of Beschen and Budroe, refined by Biolos and made famous in the 2009 video classic 5’5” Redux. The Rocket was a global hit from Bros to Pros. Now the Rocket returns with updated modern features, refined curves and rails but retains the original low fast entry rocker, hyper extended tail curve for instantaneous down the line drive and precise turning. The concave bottom adds lift and increased rail curve, which allows radical top to bottom surfing. HIGH PERFORMANCE HYBRID

Bridges the gap between easy riding boards and the hp shortboard. A speedy combo of low entry rocker, wide-ish nose, forward wide point and a generous concave meet a performance tail rocker, double concave through the fins and the same sort of bump squash you find on a contest HP shortboard. It looks simple but sometimes less is more and there is a lot packed into this little board.

The PJHP is a souped up, slimmed down, refined PJ. It features a pulled in nose with the wide point brought back, and a narrower pulled in tail block. The outline enables the PJHP to surf more like a normal board-a very playful board that’s easy to paddle and ride yet it still allows more radical and quick turns than any other PJ models. Stand on the tail of this thing and go to town like you have a motor in small surf!

The Puddle Jumper is a concaved, planing surface speeder. Domestic bliss with a twist. Based off the outline of the Bottom Feeder, but with reversed bottom and rocker curves. This board features a concave bottom that transitions to vee in the tail. The wide outline makes for easy wave catching and down the line glide and stability. The concave bottom adds lift and increased rail curve, which allows radical top to bottom surfing. The straight rail line and vee in the tail keep the board moving forward and hold in during hard carving maneuvers. “This is the most excited I have ever been about a small wave surfboard. A design collaboration between the legendary, 4x World Champion surfer/shaper, Mark Richards and Matt “Mayhem” Biolos in our dang difficult to ding environmentally nicer travel friendly construction!

A souped up and slightly sleeked out, all-around performance vehicle from two of the greatest minds in surfing. Not a true step up, but more of a bridge between squatty/speedy fish and a proper performance shortboard, equally at home in punchy, stomach-high shoreys or running overhead reef passes and point breaks.

The perfect one board quiver. A simple plan shape, minimalistic continuous curves and a forgiving rounded thumb tail. Enough volume and surface area to create speed and be free and easy in anything but the smallest “true grovel” surf. Rounded tail, smaller nose area and performance tuned rocker line keeps too much rail from being wetted at once in small surf and allows precision, control and ease of pocket power surfing in solid waves.

Doc likes to describe the G-Money as, “A reverse mullet: party in the front, and all business in the back!” With a bit less entry rocker and a little more width and volume foiled perfectly under your chest, this board will get you over the ledge into a sick drainer, and the sexy pulled-in tail and sharp rail will hold and allow you to adjust your line in the pit!

Back when we created this board nothing like it was being ridden. At the time it had a very unique look with its full outline - nose to tail. A single to double concave that is very simple and effective makes this board very responsive under your feet.

The standard in bottom contours, the Pro II has a refined single to double concave that allows the board to drive when your weight is over your front foot and to turn so lively when you transition to your back foot.

This is our current high performance shortboard! Featuring a little fuller nose, hidden volume under the chest, a touch wider through the body, blending effortlessly back to a performance tail.
