What sets the Skalle apart from traditional flat boards is its aggressively sculpted topography. It features a pronounced 5.5" nose rocker and 5.43" tail rocker, alongside a deep, high concave. This specialized combination effectively wraps around your feet, locking them firmly into the pockets so you can commit to technical aerial maneuvers, snap out tail slides, and pop clean ollies without losing your footing. By pairing a longer 34" deck with a compact 17" wheelbase, Christenson managed to maintain exceptional high-speed tracking while offering an ultra-tight, highly reactive turning radius.
The mechanical heart of this complete setup is the revolutionary, patented YOW Meraki S5 system. Merging the surf pivot mechanism and front 9.0" truck hanger into a single streamlined block, the Meraki reduces unnecessary weight and provides structural rigidity during aggressive maneuvers. Driven by a heavy-duty 5mm internal steel spring, the front truck translates minor weight distributions into effortless pumping speed and fast rail-to-rail lean. The front adapter pairs with a standard rear matching-height skate truck, riding on soft 66mm x 51mm YOW Ura wheels poured in a grippy 78A durometer formulation. With a wide 49mm contact patch, these wheels supply intense cornering traction through high-angle carves and predictable release characteristics for slides.
